Clash of clans: Farming Guide
Hey guys,
Today we are going to discuss about farming in Clash Of Cla ns. But before getting started I am going to answer few simple question like " What is farming? ". Farming is basically deliberately demoting yourself to a lower league and attacking weaker bases for resources instead of getting trophies to upgrade you'r defences/troops/ buildings etc. Farming varies from league to league or it depends on you'r town hall level, like if you have a Town hall 9 and you are farming in silver I then STOP IT! in this post I am going to tell you the basic ways to farm, how to farm and which league to farm in.
Step 1 : Preparing to farm ( The Town hall )
To prepare to farm you should first keep you'r town hall outside without any teslas/traps or any defence with the town hall. The reason behind this is that they attack on the town hall instead of you'r storages so it will help you save you'r resources. Search bases on Google and ten copy it.
Step 2 : Preparing to farm (Saving Storages )
You should save you'r storage but wait don't make a mistake by keeping them too close to each other as people using good troops can attack you and can gain as much loot as they can get from you'r base. Have a base in which you'r storages are not close to each other and are well protected!
Step 3 : Preparing to farm ( Troops Combination )
You should use troops which cost less elixir like most people including me use Barch ( Barbarians + Archers ) this is known as barching. It usually takes like 20K elixir to cook but if you don't have lvl 4+ barch I prefer you to use giants and healers attack cause barching needs a good level or barbarians and archers. I am not saying that you should use the combination I just told you but I prefer you to use the one which has less cost and is time saving also because time matters a lot. Cause someone also said WASTING TIME IS WASTING MONEY but we are talking about resources here instead of money :) .
Step 4: ( Spells )
You should avoid using spells while farming even though they are important and can effect the outcome of the battle but they cost more and you don't want to loose resource on cooking spells and troops right?
Step 5: ( Attacking bases )
When you are attacking bases you should look for the abandoned baes rather than a player who is active. Player's who have abandoned their bases are easy to find and is also recognisable easily. Like this one below:
You can easily find good resources in the gold mines and elixir collectors! there are many rushers who rush to TH 10 or any higher Town Hall and come to lower leagues and abandon their bases.
You can also attack bases with full storage which are not fully protected.
Step 5: Identifying Full collectors/ storages
There are a few tricks to identify a collector or a mine which is full or a storage full of gold and elixir.
( i ) To identify a full GOLD MINE just see the thing where the gold is dropped from the mine! see the picture below:

If it is full like it is in the above picture or even has half of it you should go for it. But before attacking see the total loot available.
( ii ) To identify a full ELIXIR COLLECTOR just check out the purple liquid in the glass see the picture below.
If it is full then go for it but as I said check out the available loot.
( V ) Identifying the DARK ELIXIR DRILL and STORAGE Like the elixir collector see the dark liquid inside the glass container on top of the drill if it is full attack it and on the storage also see if it is full or not.
( iv) Identifying GOLD AND ELIXIR STORAGE in gold storage see if the storage is full of gold or not if it is full attack it. And like the elixir collector if the liquid inside the glass of the elixir storage is full then attack it.
Step 6: Farming range for Town halls
There are certain farming ranges as per the TH ( Town hall ) level. If you are a TH 9er you should not farm in gold II and below. Check out the farming ranges for the following TH levels.
1) TH 1- 5 ( SILVER II and Below ): I prefer you to do not drop you'r trophies as you have a low TH level. You can max you'r gold and elixir storages and Stay in Silver II and below.
2) TH 6 ( SILVER I )
3) TH 7 ( GOLD III)
4) TH 8 ( GOLD II )
5) TH 9 ( GOLD I )
6) TH 10 ( GOLD I+ )
